Impact assessment

Our primary purpose is to help – through the skills and tools available to us – public administration entities in their activities with regard to the compilation of analyses supporting the preparation of decisions and impact assessments assisting the legislation work. Therefore we provide free information and consulting services for all public administration entities in the field of data access and impact assessment methodologies.

Data access information

The performance of analyses and impact assessments is often hindered by troublesome access to the necessary data. Therefore our colleagues are ready to provide public administration entities with all details regarding the whereabouts, form and access time of the required information, as well as any legislative or content restrictions applicable to the use of such information.

Requests for information shall be emailed to adat@ecostat.hu. Our colleagues will reply to such requests as soon as possible by giving all details as to what and how the sender must do to access the required data or information.

In her/his email request for information, the sender must state her/his organisation, unit and a phone number so that our colleagues may contact her/him if necessary.

Impact assessment consulting

The impact assessments assisting the preparation of decisions or legislation work may often be conducted with various tools and methods. In view of time constraints, data availability or other relevant conditions, our colleagues will help the requesting party in finding the most suitable method.

Certain analyses or assessments may require the use of such methods, the availability or applicability of which raises questions. In such cases our methodology experts will provide assistance for the planning of impact assessments and for the selection and elaboration of the applicable methodology.

Requests for consulting or methodology support shall be emailed to hatasvizsgalat[at]ecostat.hu by clearly indicating the purpose of and reason for the planned impact assessment. Our colleagues – following discussions via phone, if necessary – will send a reply email with the required information to the requesting party. In her/his email request for consulting or methodology support, the sender must state her/his organisation, unit and a phone number so that our colleagues may contact her/him if necessary.
